Fiddle Lessons
with Hope Hoffman Wednesday afternoons
Hope Hoffman often teaches people brand new to music, including many adults, as well as coaching experienced students.
She teaches private lessons (ages 3-5 with parents; ages 6 and up; and adult students at all levels including beginners), and small group classes (2-3 students, scheduled/organized by those students).
Her early training was classical violin, and since moving to Maine nine years ago, has learned folk techniques and tunes by listening to and playing with local traditional musicians. Hope's experiences as a Montessori student and Montessori assistant teacher guide her teaching style. She can also accompany students on guitar for the experience of playing as a duet. Hope performs violin/fiddle music for festivals, dances, weddings and community events, including concerts of her original compositions.
